Notre Jardin
Le Magnifique Jardin
by Aidan and Steven
Bonjour! Je m’appelle Aidan and Steven. Le Jardin is all about fun. We started our garden on September 26, 2011. We had some help from Madame Alfaro, Grace's mom. We planted a lot of flowers. The names of the flowers are rudbeckia, dahlia, cupea, bacopa, and chrysanthemums. Before we planted our garden, we needed fresh dirt mixed in to give our flowers the best soil for growing. Most importantly they need water to help them grow. It took 14 students and 1 adult to do the job. Even Grace’s brother, Elijah, helped plant the garden.
Here are some steps we used for planting these cool plants in our garden.
1. First, dig a little hole.
2. Next, place the plants in the hole.
3. Then, add some soil.
4. After that, carefully bury the plants and pat the soil down around the plant.
5. Then, water the plants with your watering can.
6. Finally, let them grow and you can appreciate them for a long time.
We really hoped you enjoyed reading all about our garden project! A plus tard!

Hi! This is Madilyn et Emma. We are writing this article all about Room 8’s Jardin. So far sixteen students have help plant Le Jardin. We had so much fun planting Le Jardin, because we got to dig in the soil and plant baby plants and some tulip bulbs. We also got to use some cool tools like, a shovel, a watering can, and gloves. You can’t see the bulbs, but they will bloom in the spring. Le Jardin is very colorful, with the colors rouge, rose, jaune, blanc, et violet. The flowers we planted are called dahlia, cupea, rudbeckia, bacopa, et chrysahthemum. We really appreciated Madame Alfaro’s help with this project. Please come to our Jardin and enjoy our amazing flowers. We hope you like it !!! Au revoir !

Bonjour , I am Shannon and I’m writing about le jardin we planted by room 8. My teacher in Room 8 is Madame Pound. Le jardin is stunning. Thanks to Madame Alfaro, Grace’s mother, we could never have a wonderful jardin like this without her help. The flowers in our lovely jardin are called dahlia, cupea, rudbeckia, bacopa and chrysanthemum. We are so lucky that it is in front of our Room 8, because we get to watch them grow each day. I love le jardin because it is gorgeous and I wish I had one like it at my house. Au revoir!

Cherokee and Victoria
Have you ever planted a jardin? Well we have been growing a jardin in Room 8. Let’s introduce ourselves. Our names are Victoria and Cherokee. Our helper for this garden project was named Madame Alfaro. We planted many lovely fleurs, like the yellow rudbeckias and the light pink chrysanthemums. Also we planted the tiny violet cupeas. We can’t forget to mention the gorgeous red and white dahlias. But the most miniature flower of all and the whitest are the bacopas. They’re our personal favorites. Those were some of the fleurs that we planted in Room 8 this month. Maybe you’ll see le jardin when you pass by our classroom. One more thing, in November we will be planting some bulbs that will bloom in the spring. We hope you adore our magnifique le jardin! Be sure to stop by and say “Oooooh la la !”

Guess what? Wonderful Room 8 has planted their first jardin (garden) this year! Do you want to know what flowers we planted? We planted dahlias, bacopa, chrysanthemums, rudibeckias, and cupea. So we have five types of beautiful flowers. Mrs. Alfaro, Grace’s mom helped us do the planting. Here, let us tell you all of steps we did to plant our garden.
Step 1
First, we dug holes in the soil.
Step 2
Then, we put the flowers in the holes .
Step 3
Next, put the soil inside with the flowers.
Step 4
After that, pat the soil carefully around the new flowers.
Step 5
Then, we watered the flowers using our watering can.
Step 6
Finally, after you water your flowers, your flowers will love you for forever. Well almost!
So that’s how we did it. But, you have to understand it can be hard work planting in the sun, because you might get hot and really start to sweat. Well now you know all the steps to plant a flower garden like ours. Hope you come to see our magnifique jardin! A bientôt!
