Animal Compassion Team
Benjamin the Blind Puppy On the last week of school, we had a very special visitor, Carren McDaniel from Animal Compassion Team, come to our class. Our class was excited to be able to donate the proceeds from the sale of our Asian Notecards to this A.C.T., a No-Kill Animal Rescue Shelter. It was quite a memorable visit as Ms.McDaniel not only read a story that she wrote called The Little Yellow Puppy to the class, but she also brought the main character with her. Yes that's right! Benjamin came to share lots of love and licks with all of us! You can read more on this topic from the student articles on this page.

Benjamin the Blind PuppyOn one of the last days of school, we had a special guest come to our classroom. Her name was Carren McDaniel and she brought a lovable white dog with her named Benjamin. He was as fluffly as a white cloud! She read a book about how she met and adopted Benjamin. No one wanted Benjamin because he was blind. But Carren fell in love with him and decided to make him part of her family. Once we all got to pet him, I wondered how could anyone not love him??? Jadynn |
Animal Compassion Team Have you heard of A.C.T.? It stands for Animal Compassion Team. Yesterday a lady by the name of Carren McDaniel came to our class and brought her dog Benjamin. He was fluffy white with curly hair. But he had a problem, he was blind. Benjamin sat quietly next to Ms. McDaniel as she read us a book that she wrote and illustrated called, The Little Yellow Puppy. It was all about Benjamin and how she found him. When she first met him, he had another name, Buster, and nobody wanted him.
After she read the book and we gave her our donation check of $300 that we raised from selling notecards at Museum Night. We really made $279 but our classroom CPAs, Shannon, Ean, and Sophia rounded it up to a grand total of $300. The best part came at the end of their visit when we got to say hello to Benjamin. He was so friendly and lovable!!! Brianna |
